More from the Seth Godin talk on the music business.
“I really want to hear from you”. Ricky Lee. Please! write to me, I want to be part of the tribe, I want you to talk. It’s not about, anymore, how many people can you reach. Super Bowl, doesn’t matter. it’s irrelevant. The internet is the new radio.
"I really want to hear from you.""I really want to hear from you.""I really want to hear from you.""I really want to hear from you."
This is the whole enchilada folks. It's the new opportunity. It's the new discipline.
Now that I run the Facebook pages both for Lula Lounge and Telmary, I totally get it. The main opportunity is...to talk to the customer (or 'fan' in FB language).
This is what any good club owner does anyway, the Facebook Page is just a handy tool to send the conversation around the world and let other people join in. But the club owner has to do it. Not the new media consultent or the publicist.
Same for the music artist. He/she has talk with their fans, the audience. And help the audience talk amongst themselves.
But it has to be the artist themselves.
